With the all-new Canon M50 wifi, you will get a brighter and clearer electric viewfinder along with a multipurpose swiveling touch screen LCD.\

Controls and designs of Canon EOS M50

The Canon EOS M50 flip screen is the perfect successor to the previous entry-level mirrorless camera by Canon i.e.

Canon EOS M100 as it has more exterior controls and hence, is the perfect camera for people who often love to change their camera settings. It’s quite identical to EOS M5 but still smaller in size.

Even though the grip is a bit shallow, it fits nicely to the hands. While most of the lenses in the M series are very small, you don’t need a big grip once shooting with EF-M glass. The Camera is currently available in two colors: White and Black.

The Canon EOS M50 comes with the dimensions 4.6 x 3.5 x 2.3 inches and also weighs 13.7 ounces (including battery pack and memory card), which makes it much bigger than the Canon EOS M100. Still, the best part of The Canon EOS M50 is it’s fully swiveling along with a hot shoe.

On the other side, Its clear and sharp electric viewfinder makes it a perfect hot pick for all photography enthusiasts.

You will surely fall in love with its guided menu option, which will make you stay away from getting puzzled by all the available settings and options(perfect for beginners).

Once you press the “ Menu” option, you will be placed with four settings options, namely, shooting, playback, function, and display level.

The best part, you can remove the option if you don’t want that. The Canon EOS M50 would be the perfect treat for all those who love to shoot action sequences and sports with its “10 frames per second burst mode”. You will find it amazing even when shooting JPEGs, RAW, or a combination of both.

The Canon EOS M50 brings on the 24.1MP APS C-sized image sensor in use to let you capture all the videos and pictures and all your shots will be sharp, crisp, and accurate along with vibrant colors. Even in the low light, the Canon EOS M50 will perform like a beast.

It accommodates a new autofocus system which is powered by Digic 8, the latest image processor from Canon. The Dual Pixel AF focus system covers up 80 percent of the sensor with 99 points of focus, along with most of the lenses, vertically and horizontally.

The Canon EOS M50 offers 4K video quality which will surely impress you with its stability, quality and sharpness.

This camera comes as a good option for vloggers with its vari-angle LCD, Dual Pixel AF system and mic input.

Even if you are shooting in 1080p, you can get the best out of these features at 24, 30, or 60fps. Moreover, it also got a 120fps slow-motion option available for use.

Still, the camera is quite limited once you switch on to the 4k. The Frame rate is confined to 24fps which is quite good for cinematic production but not in the case of shooting sports and action.

Connectivity

The Canon EOS M50 comes along with a standard 3.5 mm microphone along with a micro USB and micro HDMI data ports. Still, it doesn’t have a headphone jack.

It allows you to share all the shot images and videos instantly via your IOS or Android devices with its impeccable wireless sharing feature.

So it comes as a great deal for all the photography maniacs who love to share all those exquisite images and videos with their friends and network instantly.

The camera comes along with wireless connectivity which is a beautiful combination of Bluetooth, NFC, and WI-FI. It also supports an automatic background transfer which allows you to transfer all the shots to any Android or IOS device via the Canon Camera Connect app.

The feature is limited to JPGs and Raw transfer is still not supported. Still, you can shoot it RAW, convert to JPG in-camera and then send it to your phone.

There’s also a desktop companion app that is specially meant for Mac and Windows but you first need to set up your M50 and then log into your home network to let it operate further.

Battery

The Canon EOS M50 shoots 235 shots (via the LCD or the EVF) in normal mode (as per CIPA standard).

So we can say that it does a fine job with its battery life too. The battery is almost the same as the one we have seen earlier in the EOS M cameras. Canon has included a wall charger as the battery can’t be charged in-body.
