  1. Start by downloading the Geeni companion app for your Merkury Smart Wi-Fi plug from iOS if you have an iPhone or Google Play if you have an Android smartphone.

Register an Account on the App and Log in

  1. After download, launch the Geeni companion app and head to the ‘Register’ option.
  2. Next, enter your mobile number starting with the country code or use your email.
  3. Next, enter the verification code sent to your number or email.
  4. Create a passcode and confirm by entering it again.
  5. Finally, log into the Geeni app.

Connect the Smart Plug and Reset It

  1. Connect the smart plug to a power outlet; Ensure the notification light on the smart plug is flickering blue which indicates the plug is ready to connect.
  2. Launch the Geeni app and proceed to add your smart plug.
  3. You can add your smart plug using ‘Easy’ or ‘AP’ mode.

  1. Turn on the smart plug and confirm the notification light is flickering quickly.
  2. In the app, click on the plus (+) sign in the top corner of the ‘Devices’ tab.
  3. Next, click on ‘Smart Power.’
  4. Ensure the light on the smart plug is rapidly flickering blue, showing that the plug is ready to connect via Easy Mode. If not, press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds until the light starts to blink rapidly, and then press ‘Yes, it’s blinking quickly.’

  1. Next, enter your Wi-Fi credentials (name and password).
  2. At this point, the app will attempt to establish a connection with your plug.
