Getting started with the SQ11 spy camera

Before you set up and install the SQ11 spy camera, it is advisable to charge the spy camera battery fully. The spy camera comes on board with a built-in lithium-ion battery and can be charged by either getting connected to the USB port of the PC or connecting it to a portable 5V charger.

As the camera is getting charged, the blue and red LEDs will constantly blink. Once the spy camera battery is fully charged, the red LED light will go off while the blue LED light will blink.

Setting the Time and date

You have to connect the SQ11 spy camera to the computer first. Afterward, the date and time can be set by creating a text file named «TIMERSET.txt» in the spy camera’s memory card’s source directory. There, you have to make the following changes.

«YYYYMMDDHHMMSS» «Y» (or «N», if you don’t want the date and time stamp on the provided image or video files)

For example, «20170625140003 Y»

Once the file is saved, disconnect the spy camera from the computer and power it again. You will now see the desired date and time on every video or image.

Video recording with the SQ11 spy camera

Capturing video in 1280 X 720P resolution

Gently press the «On / Off» button to power on /off the spy camera, and you will see the blue LED lighting up. The mini camcorder stays in the video recording standby mode with a video capturing capability of 720p.

Once you use the power button, the blue LED will flash 3 times, and the spy camera will start with the recording of the desired video in 720p. The captured video gets automatically stored every 5 minutes. To stop the recording process, press the power button again.

Capturing video in 1920 X 1080P resolution

Tap on the power button to turn on the SQ11 spy camera, and you will see the blue LED light blinking constantly.

Tap on the ‘Mode button’ once to get straight into the 1080p resolution video capture mode and you will see red and blue LED lights flashing simultaneously.

The sq11 spy camera is now entering into the 1080p video recording standby mode.

To proceed with the recording process, gently tap the power button once, and you will see the blue LED going out, with the red LED blinking 3 times.

Once again, the recorded video will get automatically saved every 5 minutes, and to stop the recording; you need to press the power button once again.

Motion sensor video recording

To start ahead with the motion sensor video recording (when you are in the 720p or 1080p video recording standby mode), Tap and hold the Mode button for 3 seconds.

This way, the spy camera will go into the motion sensor recording mode.

Once any unwanted motion gets detected, the video recording kickstarts automatically, with red and blue LED lights flashing simultaneously. Once entering the motion sensor recording, the video footage automatically gets saved every 5 minutes.

Capturing the image

Turn on the camera using the power button, and the blue LED will flash up. Tap on the Mode button twice to sneak into the photographing mode, and you will see the red LED FLASHING UP.

To capture the desired picture, tap on the power button once, and you will see the red LED flashing again, confirming that the photo is successfully saved.

Capturing the desired image in the nighttime

Tap on the power button to turn on the spy camera. Now Press and hold the power button for approx 2 seconds, and you will see the red flashlight coming over, confirming the activation of the night illumination.

Again, to power off the night illumination, press and hold the power button for around 2 seconds, and you will see the red LED light flashing thrice, affirming the powering off of the night illumination.

Viewing Images and Video files

Gently connect the SQ11 spy camera to the computer, and within a few seconds, the computer will detect it as a removable disk. The blue flashlight will signify the transfer of files, while the red flashlight confirms the charging of the built-in battery.
